Duckwrth drops off a tribute to post-pandemic jubilance with his new single “4K,” highlighting an appearance from Phabo.
LA’s own Duckwrth has formally come through with his new single “4K,” set to be remembered for his forthcoming EP SG8*, due for discharge this fall. Talking on the meaning of his most recent tune, Duckwrth uncovered his motivation behind “4K” in a public statement. “Right when outside fired opening up and everybody began running to Tulum and Hawaii, that is what’s going on with 4k,” he clarifies. “Attempting to change and adapt while as yet having some good times.”
“It’s the conundrum of the common line, ‘Was your pandemic popping?'” he proceeds. “4K is a film, and that is the thing that the pandemic transformed into when we were let free.” As for the music, “4K” is properly perfect, highlighting a lavish mix of synthesizers, fresh drums, and victorious metal. Devotees of the tentatively determined craftsman would be astute to look at this one, and search for more where that came from when Duckwrth drops off his new EP SG8* sooner or later in fall.
